The Oliver Mtukudzi International Festival of the Arts (OMIFA) is Zimbabwe’s premier cultural celebration, honouring the legacy of the late Dr. Oliver Mtukudzi — beloved music icon, philanthropist, and national hero.
Organised by Tuku Music (Pvt) Ltd, OMIFA is held at the historic Pakare Paye Arts Centre in Norton, a space envisioned and built by Tuku himself as a creative haven for Zimbabwean talent.

OMIFA 2025 coincides with what would have been Oliver Mtukudzi’s birthday. This year, the festival will take place over a single, power-packed day, offering a diverse and dynamic experience for all ages.

Live Performances
Curated performances from Zimbabwe’s finest musical acts alongside rising stars, all influenced by or connected to Tuku’s legacy.

Children’s Zone
A dedicated, supervised space for kids to enjoy activities, games, art-making, and performances in a safe, engaging environment.

Multidisciplinary Arts
The festival is a showcase of music, dance, spoken word, fashion, film, literature, and visual art, celebrating the richness of Zimbabwean and African creativity.
Todii – Senzeni – What shall we do?
This year’s theme is a call to action — to honour, participate, and uplift. Inspired by Dr. Mtukudzi’s values of humility, social responsibility, and inclusion, the festival is a space to continue the work he started through music, mentorship, and community.
The Venue:
Pakare Paye Arts Centre
Founded by Oliver Mtukudzi in 2004, Pakare Paye has nurtured the careers of artists like Mbeu, Feli Nandi, Munya Mataruse, and Gary Tight. The centre stands as a living legacy of mentorship, creativity, and social impact.
